It's Christmas time!

Hello to you all - hope you have a brilliant christmas and joyous new years! We are busy but happy. We had a BRILLIANT time at Shan and Chris's wedding. I managed to drink copious amounts of champaigne as planned and it has been a long time since I've seen Todd dancing so energetically. Seth had a wonderful time catching up with grandparents and relatives and it all seemed a little tame when we got back to Port Hedland. However we have settled back in and now we are gearing up for christmas.

This year Seth seems to understand it all a bit more - no way was he going anywhere near Santa no matter how much I begged and no longer can I put toys in the shopping trolley with him because he simply turns around, picks them up and starts playing. I feel like I am actually having to think things through a bit more - how to make things a suprise, how not to just keep buying more and more things for him and what on earth I'll ever say to him about Santa and christmas time when he starts asking questions.

He makes so many comments on everything now as it is - not always sensible to those who don't know him but to us some of it is quite clear. Good, yep, nuh, shosh shosh shosh (as in the wiggles!) all feature heavily as does look at this. At the moment his most favourite trick is to stand on the end of the couch, which of course brings us running - mission achieved! He is pretty contrary about things and I just have to act the opposite of what I want him to do and then he generally does what I want - no guarantees about this though. The thing that floors me the most is how much he remembers and immitates - he LOVES dancing and singing the words to his dvd's - the wiggles and playschool concert. He can anticipate the next line in the song and does the actions in advance. Probably all normal toddler stuff but it blows my mind.

Well I'll be off - got to get tea ready. I'm going to try and do christmas cards but probably like last year won't get there. Our love and kisses goes out to you all though and we hope you celebrate hard!!
