Again!
Sorry guys - we have a new laptop and I've just realised that I've downloaded all the photos of Seth to the old laptop so can not give you any new photos today. I will take some more today when Seth gets home from child care and still those up.
We have had a busy month!! Todd has popped up a couple of images of George and that was probably the highlight / lowlight really. All in all it comes down to the fact that if it had of just been Todd and I we would have thought it was a great adventure but because of Seth it just didn't seem that much fun! Mind you - he SLEPT through the whole thing and in the morning when we had to use torches he just thought that was bloody brilliant. We got out of our place just in case but the house generally pulled up fine - no broken windows, lost doors, lost roofs, trees in the bedroom etc that many others had to put up with. Our main problems were the fence all buckling, bits of lattice falling over, losing our letter box and of course the aerial which Todd is still spewing about - not that much to do up here when you can't even watch TV!
My dad also came over for a visit - he left here this morning. As I do think he may be our only visitor to Port Hedland (Shan & Chris you don't count cause you are locals!) we felt very honoured that he came all this way. He left this morning saying that he had come to see us which is good really because there isn't much else to see / do around here.
I actually thought the weather had changed too because the whole time that Dad was here (coinciding with Cyclone no 3 Cara) it was rainy and / or cool. Lovely weather and it meant we could take Seth to the park in the middle of the day. Today however it is back to being steamy and hot. Got our power bill today as well - you can tell that we've been using the aircons quite a bit lately!!
Seth is ok - he has got a bit of a cold. Todd was sick last week and I think I've picked up their cold as well. Seth is really into socialising. He is loving childcare (still hates saying goodbye though) and playgroup. He seems to recognise more the kids he mixes with regularly and while I can't say that he always plays nicely he definitely tries to play. He is 21 months today so I guess I better start organising a birthday part soon. He doesn't look like a baby at all anymore but thinking about him turning 2 freaks me out!
Hope all is good everyone. Sorry if we've been non-communicative recently - I think George took more out of us than we realised!
